Inaugural introductions and full bias disclosure

Time to hop on the blog bandwagon. I admit I'm a little late in the game. I edit a local family magazine (http://www.vancouverfamilymagazine.com/), where I get to write Editor's Notes each month, so until the last couple of weeks, the magazine and my personal journal have been all the outlet I've needed. But lately I've been unable to shake my need to comment specifically on music. Everyone loves it, and it comes in all forms: classical, country, rap, emo, ska, shoegazer, trance.... Since I'm going to use this forum to opine about something with such a broad scope, I figure I'd better lay all my biases and leanings out on the table, so readers can understand the origins of my voice. I'm a work-from-home wife and mom of 2 young girls, LDS, moderately conservative, and crazy about Alternative Music. I can appreciate most types of music, but rock n roll is my passion, from classic to modern. In this blog, I'll be musing about musical themes and trends, personalities, and my general opinions about the music world. I welcome your comments, as long as they're thoughtful and intelligent. I love a good, healthy debate.
